Heart of Valley Christian Preschool is governed by a Board of Directors.  Board members consist of preschool parents and parishioners of Valley Presbyterian Church.  The Board meets monthly to discuss policies, budget, and plans for the preschool.  Parents are invited to attend Board meetings with any input, concerns, and/or suggestions.

Amy Belew - Chairperson

Preschool Parent and Church Parishioner


   Amy is a lifelong resident of the Chagrin area.  She grew up in South Russell and now resides in Auburn Township with her husband and two children who are 6 and 3 years old.

   Amy has a Master's of Education in Mild/Moderate Disabilities, and she is currently a teacher in the Chagrin Falls School District.

   "Valley Presbyterian and HOVCP are my extended family.  The family atmosphere helped my children learn and build relationships that will last a lifetime."

Heidi Cregar - Treasurer

Former Preschool Parent and Church Parishioner


   Heidi grew up in Orange Village.  She currently lives in Bainbridge Township with her husband Jim, who is a middle school science and math teacher, and her three children.
   Heidi has a Bachelor of Arts from Hiram College.
   "Heart of Valley was a great place for my son.  They have dedicated, wonderful staff, parents, board members, volunteers, and a supportive church.  I am proud to be a part of the program."


Allison Coulson - Secretary

Preschool Parent


   Allison grew up in Eastlake, Ohio and now resides in Bainbridge Township.  She is married to Patrick and has two children ages 6 and 4 years old.

   Allison has a Bachelor's degree from University of Dayton in Psychology.  She also has a teaching certificate from Ursuline College.  She has worked in the fields of Human Resources and Education.

   "We found Heart of Valley after a very stressful move from out of state.  My daughter had a difficult transition to her new home, and the staff at Heart of Valley took us right under their wing.  Not only did they help my daughter, but myself as well!  It is an honor to serve on the board of this incredible school.  The education they provide, in a fun, loving atmosphere is second to none!"

Amy Eibler - Public Relations

Preschool Parent


   Amy grew up in Bainbridge Township, Ohio.  She now resides in Auburn Township with her husband, Dan, and four children - Maggie, Daniel, Charlie, and Jane.

   Amy was a second grade inclusion teacher for 4 years.  She has a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Reading Education.

   "HOVCP has given my children the education they need to begin a successful life long learning experience.  I benefited, too, having made long lasting friendships with other parents."


Pam Baynes

Preschool Parent


   Pam grew up in Garrettsville, Ohio.  She now resides in Mantua with her husband, Brandon, and three great children - Aspen, 4 years, Leighton and Everett, one year.

  Pam is a licensed Dental Hygienist.

   "To me, HOVCP is a place where Aspen goes to learn the love of learning.  her teachers are always very welcoming at the start of each day, and they always give a hug at the end of each day.  Aspen has always had a very positive attitude about her school and her teachers.  She has never once woke up and said she didn't want to go to school.  Aspen loves Heart of Valley, or as she used to call it 'The Great Valley'."

Tom Bulanda

Church Parishioner


   Tom was born in Cleveland and grew up in Garfield Heights.  He currently lives in the Spring Valley Subdivision in Bainbridge Township with his wife Marilyn.  Tom and Marilyn recently celebrated 41 years together.  His son and family live in California and his daughter lives in Parma Heights.

   Tom enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on the day he graduated from Garfield Heights High School.  He left for boot camp in August of 1965.  Tom was seriously wounded in Vietnam and medically retired from the Marines in April 1968.  He started his own business in 1986, and have been self-employed ever since.

   "HOVCP provides a vital service to the Community of Bainbridge (Chagrin Falls) and an opportunity for parents to enroll their children in a preschool that is steeped in Christian values.  I believe that teaching these core values at an early age will create a belief system that will follow these children into adulthood."

Bridey Matheney

Preschool Parent


   Bridey grew up in South Russell.  She now resides in Bainbridge Township with her husband and two boys.
   Bridey attended the University of Dayton where she earned a Bachelors in Political Science.  She then went on to earn her law degree from Cleveland Marshall and CSU.  She currently works as an attorney.
   "I really enjoy the atmosphere at Heart of Valley.  I feel that my children are getting the best care and are in the best hands.  They are not only learning, but they are having fun doing it."
